Honouring Women’s History Month with a homage to Gertrude Stein’s ‘A Rose is a Rose is a Rose’, these portraits manifest contemporary queerness with Stein’s revered sexuality. Fusing identity, lived experiences and political matters into photography, I used natural symbolic materials and textures to convey intimacy as well as freedom of expression.
