Just a Filter Coffee Please, 2023

Photographic Prints, Illford Matte Paper, Mounted Black MDF Frames with Mounts

Images can look simple to the eye but what did it take to get there?

Throughout my previous few projects, it has been important for me to highlight the importance of sustainable creativity and photography in an affordable way. This is a collection of images taken in a historical village, Weekly, around where I grew up.

Using homemade Caffenol developer, made with coffee similar to that found in the cafe, it shows that with photography anything is possible and there is no limit to image making. The original images on the film strip are slowly decaying due to the uncertainty of alternative methods, much like the uncertainty small businesses unfortunately face during this time, especially in small village towns.
