The Beginning, 2022 

Photography allows me to make memories, gives me insight, or perception of a captured moment and allows personal interpretation. 

The beginning is a moment of physical and emotional development. Everything from belly size to heartbeat changes over the months and leads to childbirth. Pregnancy is an important component of feminine identity, it is a wonderful, joyful, and miraculous experience, and also hard work. 

I’m happily reminded that I am not alone. 
Little, tiny hands, a precious rounded knee pushing
and twisting, no one can see. 
Sweet child kicking up your heels, it’s our little secret that only I can feel. 
I look forward to your birth when I can kiss your skin but, for now, 
I’ll just smile as I feel you play within.
